The Sabine Parish area is served by Sabine Medical Center in Many, a 48-bed hospital with a 24-hour physician staffed emergency room.
Sabine Medical Center features a Radiology Department including Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Routine Ultrasound, Bone Density, and Mammography. In 2001 the hospital opened its new Surgical Services Department with two modern operating rooms and large recovery Suite.
The SMC Cardio-Pulmonary Services Department offers a full range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests. These include EKG's, Echocardiograms, Cardiac Stress Testing, Nuclear Stress Testing, Vascular Ultrasound, and Holter Monitor Recording and Scanning.
The nine active Medical Staff and seven specialty physicians includes Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Diabetes/Endocrinology, General Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery. Visiting specialty clinics include an Orthopaedic Surgeon, two Cardiologists, an OB/GYN, a Medical Oncologist, and two ENT Physicians.
